If you would like to join Harrogate and District Naturalists’ Society please complete and submit our on-line Membership Application Form (button below). A Standing Order Form is also available should you wish to set up an annual standing order.
Subscriptions are due for renewal each April. Please note that if you join the Society between January and March you will receive those months free of charge since your membership will run to April the following year.

Single adult – £20.00
Family (includes adults and all juniors) – £30.00

You can include a regular order for the Bird Report along with your subscription if you wish.

Benefits of membership

There are frequent Field Meetings throughout the year when members visit areas of wildlife interest. During the Autumn and Winter, we hold a series of Lectures on wildlife-related subjects. Details of Field Meetings and Lectures are included in the Events Page. All lectures and most field meetings are free to members whereas non-members must pay a day-membership fee.

Membership of the Society gives access to Farnham Gravel Pit.

We provide a lively, members-only Forum on Facebook for discussion and the exchange of ideas, observations and photos.

There is also the opportunity to take an active part in the running of the Society, including recording, assistance with management of Farnham Gravel Pit and committee membership.

Members receive an Annual Report containing details of the work of the Society and lists of important records reported during the year.

Members also enjoy discounted prices at Blacks and Bass & Bligh.

Open to all

Anyone interested in natural history is eligible for membership. Children will be most welcome. Your membership will be confirmed by the Membership Secretary once your application form and subscription are received.

Gift Aid

This system benefits the Society as, provided that you are a taxpayer, it increases the Society’s income at no cost to yourself. You are not committed to a fixed period as you can cancel the arrangement at any time.

Data Protection

In order to communicate with our members and send them our publications, their names and contact details are held on a computer database. They will not be passed to others without permission.
