Membership Information Collection and Use
In order to assist with the distribution of newsletters and programmes, members’ names and addresses are held on a computer database. They will not be passed to others without your prior permission. If you wish, your email address will be added to our messaging list: you will then be sent information about HDNS events, and activities of related societies. When you join HDNS you will be asked to fill in a Data Protection form to record your wishes about methods of contact.

Form Submissions
If you submit an enquiry through our contact form, that enquiry will be emailed to a mailbox monitored by officers of HDNS. If you submit a photo via our uploads form we will display your stated name for purposes of crediting your photography.
Website Backups
This website is backed up on a regular basis for security and disaster recovery purposes. The backups are stored securely with Dropbox. Dropbox may store these backups outside of the European Union in line with its undertakings through the EU-US Privacy Shield Program. Website backups will be stored for a maximum of 60 days before being deleted.
