About the location
Coal Bank Wood is located on Magnesian Limestone and has a typical range of woodland wildflowers including Bluebell, Dog’s Mercury, Woodruff and a large population of Herb Paris.
At the northern end of the wood is a large area of flush and fen vegetation with Globeflower and Marsh Valerian.
