Very limited roadside parking near the entrance to the site.
Access
Public footpaths cross the site. Permissive pedestrian access is available from the entrance gate down the farm track to the public footpaths.

The footpaths and track through the location have steep sections..

About the location
An ancient semi-natural woodland, predominantly of Downy Birch with some Sessile Oak, Ash and Rowan, with some more recent planting of Sessile Oak and other native species on the steep southern slope. There are two rocky upland streams crossing the site and many outcrops of sandstone, shale and mudstone.
