Good for: Birds
A compensation reservoir for the River Nidd, which is managed as a nature reserve by Yorkshire Water. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its breeding wildfowl and passage and wintering birds.
Parking
There is a small car park at SE 124 698
Access
A viewing platform is provided opposite the car park but there is no access to the water's edge. There is a public bridleway along much of the eastern side.
