Habitat:
About the location
A small number of Nightjar visit each summer and favour the felled woodland. You will need to be present at dusk to hear their strange, churring calls and perhaps catch a glimpse of these birds in flight. On summer evenings, roding Woodcock can often be seen and Roe Deer emerge from their hideouts in the forest. Tree and Meadow Pipits are present, while upland birds such as Curlew and Lapwing can often be observed on the surrounding pasture.
