Access
On foot along Mill Lane from Kirk Hammerton, a public footpath runs along the river bank. There is no vehicle access.
Terrain
Level ground on public and private footpaths.
About the location
A young deciduous woodland, meadow and ponds created from rough pasture since 2011. The woodland is still young and lacks mature trees or undergrowth, other than Himalayan Balsam, which is extensive.
Further information
Owned by Make It Wild, 10ha of rough pasture was bought in 2011 and planted with native deciduous trees. A wildflower meadow and ponds have been created since then.
